Canoe FM is a Not-For-Profit, Community Radio Station in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands of Ontario. Operated by the Haliburton County Community Radio Association, we are staffed by more than 60 volunteers.
Programming is designed for permanent and seasonal residents of Haliburton County. Music spanning the decades and special, country, classical, jazz, blues, gospel, big band and arts programmes. Eclectic? We like to think so.
A Salute to the Founders. July 2003, Jack Hewitt, Don Cameron, Dave Sovereign and Bruce Martin decided, over a beer, to each put $100 into a pot. That was the start of community radio in Haliburton County and a proud, albeit young, heritage.
