I am currently the station coordinator for Canoe FM, which means that I am responsible for the day to day operations of this marvellous Community Radio Station. I became involved with the station in the very early years while working for Community Care Haliburton County when I was asked to do a commercial. One commercial led to another and then a program of my own. Radio gets into your blood, especially Community Radio.
I was born and raised in East York and later went on to attend Centennial College. My career has consisted of working for Dominion Stores Ltd., Haliburton Valu-Mart, Clarica Insurance and for many years my husband, Dennis and I owned and operated Birth Point Lodge, a family tourist resort on Lake Kashagawigamog. Dennis and I have twin daughters, who are both married and are now planning families of their own.
