I'm 3rd generation Toronto born and grew up in North York which at that time, was a small country like suburb. I spent summer vacations at Birch Point Lodge, a tradition which began that my grandparents started in 1942. My first official summer was 1947. I fell in love with Haliburton and the Gould's and Casey's and as a family continued going until I was16 years old. I returned in 1982, “just to see what it was like” and continued on when I bought a cottage on Wenona Lake, in 1999, to continue the dream!
My career entailed working in the Supply Management/Purchasing field for 30 years working at Rowntree Mackintosh, Unilever and my own cost saving consulting business and then retired in 2009.
‘Cottaging' and golf keeps me busy in the summer and I curl in the winter along with my volunteer commitments with the Canoe FM and the Haliburton Museum because I'm very interested in the history of Haliburton.
I love Haliburton County and hopefully I can add in some small way to its beauty.
