After 20+ yrs. working as Media Buyer/Proof Reader for an Advertising/P.R. agency in Toronto, I found myself in Haliburton. Looking for something to do, a sign caught my eye regarding a community radio station that was starting up and looking for volunteers. I started in the front office, answering the phone and a general dogs body.
After a time at this position, Dave Sovereign, one of the founders of the station, approached me, commenting that he felt I had a good voice for on-air and coaxed me to try, starting with the Weather Report.
With David's tutoring, mentoring and much appreciated support, I continued learning more about being on-air and gathering self-confidence ……. And here I am to-day!!!
